Analysis
Not a bad scam from the scammer point of view. This one has a
Virginia Phone Number that is not registered. Old Point National
Bank is in Virginia but the real extension is.. well I am not gonna
tell you so that I do not help the scammers too.. but it is in a
Virginia Area code. I tried to call the number but it was late
in the evening and no one answered. Guessing since the number is for
the wrong area code someone was at the end of this for a few hours
taking down personal information. IF YOU GAVE YOUR INFORMATION to
someone immediately change all codes and notify the bank. IF you
gave them more than bank codes like your SS# or something
immediately get Life Lock at least for a while. You need to keep an
eye on your credit and make sure no one is using it without your
knowing.
